Webex Instructions
All webinars are hosted on Webex.
Download instructions:
To download Webex to join a meeting, go to “webex.com/downloads” on your web browser, where you can download the Webex Meetings app for your computer or mobile device depending on your operating system. You can also join the meeting directly from the email invitation, where the link will prompt the attendee to download the app, if needed.
Key points about downloading Webex:
- Access the download page: Go to “webex.com/downloads“.
- Choose your device: Select the version compatible with your computer or mobile device.
- Install the app: Once downloaded, run the installation file to set up the Webex app.
- Join from email: Selecting the “Join Meeting” link in your Webex meeting invitation will often automatically start the download process if you don’t have the app already.

Office Hours
Office Hours are available on an ongoing, drop-in basis for providers to ask questions such as:
- How do I locate eligible participants?
- Where can I locate my submitted/completed authorizations?
- Is there a page to view pending claims?
Joining Office Hours allows you to ask your questions and receive immediate support. Use the direct links in the monthly training calendar or below to register. Attendance for the entire session is not required.

Get Started
Learn how to join the network and set up your Carelon accounts with ProviderConnect and Availity.
Step 1:
- To register for a community-based behavioral health license in Maryland, you can complete and submit an application to the Maryland Department of Health’s Behavioral Health Administration (BHA).
- Once Licensed by BHA, obtain a distinct NPI.
- Submit a new provider application in ePREP to enroll in Maryland Medicaid
Please note: Providers may not render services until they are enrolled in Maryland Medicaid
Step 2:
Find your Carelon ID number.
- Your Carelon ID number will be emailed, faxed, or mailed to your address of record after registering with ePREP.
- If you are not the primary user, please complete and submit an Account Request Form (ARF).
Step 3:
- Use your Carelon user ID number to register in ProviderConnect. If you do not have a copy of that information, you can obtain your login credentials by calling the customer service EDI team at 1-800-888-1965 (Press 1 for English, then 3 for Provider, then 7 for EDI).

Step 4:
- Register and log in to the Maryland Public Behavioral Health System payer space in Availity Essentials.
- Use the Get Started Instructions and Portal Registration Guide for additional guidance on setting up your provider organization.
Step 5:
- Once registered in ProviderConnect and Availity Essentials, create your single sign-on access (SSO) within Availity. This will link the two systems so you can log in to Availity directly as your one-stop shop.

Step 6:
- Enhance the behavioral health of participants, one patient at a time. Go to the Provider Digital Front Door here.

Once logged in, Availity offers on-demand training with instructions for anything and everything a provider can do within Availity. platform features a Help Topics library, which includes a combination of both text and video support. Help Topics can also be accessed within the workflow by clicking on the question mark (text only) or video icon (video and text) above a particular field.
- Log into Availity Essentials
- Select the Help & Training drop-down in the top navigation bar
- Select ‘Find Help’ or ‘Get Trained’
- Choose a Help Topic or search for your specific need using the search bar
