Training & Education

Ongoing training is available to help familiarize all participating providers with the Carelon Behavioral Health and Maryland Medicaid systems and processes.  

Be sure to review the monthly calendar for dates and times of the live webinars and self-paced training for providers. Explore all other menu options for the latest information on orientations, events, and requirements.  

Office Hours

Office Hours are available on an ongoing, drop-in basis for providers to ask questions such as:  

  • How do I locate eligible participants?
  • Where can I locate my submitted/completed authorizations?  
  • Is there a page to view pending claims? 

Attendance for the entire session is not required. Joining Office Hours allows you to ask your questions and receive immediate support. To register, please use the direct links in the monthly training calendar or below.

Availity offers on-demand training with step-by-step instructions and screenshots for anything and everything a provider can do on Availity Essentials. To access:

  • Log into Availity Essentials
  • Select the Help & Training drop-down in the top navigation bar
  • Select Find Help
