Provider Alerts

Carelon sends Provider Alerts to communicate urgent, critical, and time-sensitive information. These alerts provide details about Carelon systems, clinical issues, changes within the Maryland Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS), important regulatory guidance, and announcements from the Maryland Department of Health.

Provider Updates 

Carelon sends Provider Updates to share medium or low-priority news that is non-urgent yet helpful and informative. Starting in 2025, this new communication method was introduced to differentiate between urgent alerts and less critical items. These updates might cover topics like training opportunities and events, Carelon system downtime, or minor changes to the Maryland Public Behavioral Health System.

Provider Council Meetings

In collaboration with Maryland’s Department of Health and the Behavioral Health Administration, Carelon hosts monthly Provider Council Meetings on the second Friday of each month at 10 a.m.  

This session allows Maryland Public Behavioral Health System leadership to present updates and receive real-time provider feedback. Providers are encouraged to submit questions for Carelon leadership to answer before each meeting using the Provider Council Meeting submission form below.

Status Center
